Manual Stair Climbing Wheelchair

Wheelchair has made the life of physically disabled people easy. However, it is difficult for them to go upstairs in wheel chair. This research designed, fabricated and tested the manual stair climbing wheelchair with lever propulsion. Designed wheelchair was found to be more suitable for levelled ground, inclined surfaces and stair climbing purposes.

The study was carried out by a group of students: Ramesh Kumar Shrestha, Rupendra Aryal, Sarozh Maharjan, and Suman Shrestha of Department of Automobile and Mechanical Engineering, Thapathali Campus, IOE in 2017.
