Ferrari spectacularly bursts into flames in Penang

This man’s swanky black Ferrari is straight fire.

Literally.

On Saturday, a Ferrari spontaneously burst into flames at Jalan Kebun Bunga in George Town, drawing a huge crowd of on-lookers because, hey, a burning supercar is big news.

According to a report by The Star Online, the Ferrari F430 which was parked at the car park area caught fire at around 5.30pm.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman told the news portal that they received an emergency call from a member of the public and seven firemen were dispatched to the scene.

It reportedly took the firemen 30 minutes to put out the fire.

“The car owner was not at the scene and the cause of the fire is still being investigated,” the spokesman was quoted by the news portal as saying.

As usual, social media lit up – no pun intended – with pictures and videos of the incident, which quickly went viral on Facebook:

Back in June, another incident involving a Ferrari made headlines when a hot pink Ferrari 458 Italia rear-ended a Proton Preve along Jalan Tun Razak in Kuala Lumpur.
