Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams had an epic on-screen reunion at the 2024 Golden Globes this weekend, and they were joined by two other Suits co-stars.

Suits is USA Network’s legal drama created and written by Aaron Korsh. The show premiered in 2011 and ran for nine seasons until 2019. It follows Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who uses his photographic memory to talk his way into a job as an associate working for Manhattan corporate lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle, and Gina Torres also starred in the popular lawyer show.

After nine seasons, the series officially ended in 2019, but Netflix and Peacock picked up the show with much success. Since debuting on Netflix this summer, Suits has been one of the streaming companies’ most-watched shows, and the first season spent 11 weeks on Netflix’s Top 10 T.V. series in the U.S.

Amidst the show’s renewed acclaim, Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht reunited at the 81st Annual Golden Globes to present the award for Best TV Drama. After taking the stage, Macht told the audience: “There is nothing more dramatic or anxiety-inducing than waiting all night to hear that your category has finally arrived.” Adams then quipped, “Yes, yes, that’s true. It’s hard to imagine having to wait so long for your show to get that kind of recognition.” Seconds later, the pair were joined by co-stars Sarah Rafferty (who starred as Donna Paulsen) and Gina Torres (who played Jessica Pearson). “Did you forget about us?” Torres asked. “Sorry, not sorry, to interrupt,” Rafferty added.

The stars also walked the red carpet prior to the ceremony. Adams was seen hugging Ronald Gladden from Jury Duty, and Rafferty stunned in off-white halter-neck gown. See the video below.

The last time we saw the Suits cast together on screen was in the Season 9 finale of Suits in 2019. Since then, Adams has been involved in many projects, including series like The Right Stuff, A League of Their Own, and Plan B, and movies like The Swearing Jar and He Went That Way. Rafferty and Torres have also kept busy; Rafferty had a brief role on Chicago Med and recently starred on Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys, while Torres starred as the lead in the now-canceled Suits spinoff Pearson and currently stars on 9-1-1: Lone Star. Macht, on the other hand, has taken a break from acting since Suits ended.

Suits’ new claim to fame even helped the series earn a revival. Variety reported in November 2023 that the new installment will be based in Los Angeles. The spinoff will be “in the same timeframe” as the original series, said the president of Universal International Studios and UCP, Beatrice Springborn. The executive also promised that the new Suits would “have the same energy and good-looking people that the original did.”

“We are working on it right now,” Springborn also told the audience at U.K. industry conference Content London. “It’s so fun and happy.”

Macht, Adams, Torres and Rafferty all attended the royal wedding of their co-star Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in May 2018. The Duchess of Sussex recently commented on the success of the Suits after being informed that the legal drama had gained more than 45 billion minutes of streams on Netflix and Peacock combined, according to Nielsen.

“Isn’t that wild? Is that right?” Meghan responded when she was asked about the impressive numbers at Variety’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles on November 26. She then joked, “But who’s counting?” When asked what she thinks is behind the “renewed love” for the show, she explained, “I have no idea. It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit.”

She continued, “But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”

Tune into The Golden Globes on Sunday, January 7, at 8 p.m. on CBS or Paramount+ to see Macht and Adams together again.
