Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper (born Jan. 5, 1975) is an American actor and filmmaker. He made his acting debut in 1999 with a guest role in “Sex and the City,” and later starred in the 2001 comedy film “Wet Hot American Summer.” Cooper gained recognition as Will Tippin in the Jennifer Garner-led series “Alias” from 2001 to 2006, along with a supporting role in 2005’s “Wedding Crashers.” He had his breakthrough in the Todd Phillips-directed comedy “The Hangover” (2009), which spawned two sequels in 2011 and 2013. 

After starring in such films as “Limitless” (2011) and “The Place Beyond the Pines” (2012), Cooper received critical acclaim for his role in the 2012 romantic comedy “Silver Linings Playbook” opposite Jennifer Lawrence, for which he scored his first Academy Award nomination for best actor in a leading role. He subsequently earned two more Academy Award nominations for his performances in 2013’s “American Hustle” and 2014’s “American Sniper,” and began voicing Rocket in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2014. Cooper made his directorial debut with the 2018 remake of “A Star Is Born,” which he also produced, wrote and starred in alongside Lady Gaga. He earned three Oscar nominations for the film, and won two Grammys and a BAFTA Award. For his second directorial effort “Maestro,” Cooper portrayed legendary composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein in the 2023 biopic.
