Champion Homecoming Weekend brings community together

The Champion community braved the rain to celebrate their homecoming. The stands were filled with purple and gold. The Flashes gave a valiant effort on the field and although they came up short in points they were winners in terms of heart. The friendly rivalry with our neighbors across the lake will continue.

Spirits could not be dampened when the Best Band in the Land, the  current and the alumni members of Champion Marching Thunder, took the field at halftime. Royalty braved the threatening skies as the 2016 King and Queen, Lucas Nasonti and Erin Sindledecker ,were crowned.

The class of 1971 adjusted to the blustery conditions while they marked the 45th anniversary of their own homecoming festivities.

Th annual dance which is the traditional culmination of Homecoming Weekend was held at the Champion High School on Saturday, Oct. 22, The gym, cafeteria and hallways were transformed by teams of students who decorated for days before the big event.

Congratulations to Champion School District and the entire community on another great
Homecoming Weekend!
