In the 1980s, Margret Weis and Tracy Hickman created DragonLance for TSR, Inc, famous as the originator of the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game. DragonLance developed a loyal following as a series of successful novels and games. While Weis and Hickman expanded the world of DragonLance with their words and ideas, it would be TSR artist Larry Elmore who defined the popular setting for the eyes of its fans. Elmore was the first to paint the DragonLance characters for the introductory DragonLance calendar, and his paints would continue to color the DragonLance setting through innumerable book covers and supplementary material.

It has recently been announced that Margret Weis and Tracy Hickman are writing a new set of DragonLance books for TSR's successor, Wizards of the Coast. As exciting as this news is for fans, it could be made even better with the re-addition of Larry Elmore.

We request that Wizards of the Coast commission Larry Elmore to rekindle his magic for DragonLance and paint the next covers for the new DragonLance series of books.
