Lost Girl star Anna Silk and her husband Seth Cooperman are expecting their first child.
Silk told Us Magazine that her friends and family have been "overwhelmingly supportive" since she learned that she was pregnant with a boy.
"I found out I was pregnant the day before we started shooting the last episode [of Lost Girl's third season]," she revealed. "It was very, very exciting and so hard to keep it a secret on set."
The actress continued: "I wanted to tell everyone at work, but I didn't... I talk about babies all the time, but when I got pregnant, I stopped saying anything about babies. I thought people were going to suspect something... It was really thrilling to finally be able to tell them though."
Silk is expected to give birth to her son in May.
The Lost Girl star and Cooperman recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary, having got engaged in August 2009.
Silk is known for a variety of roles outside of SyFy's Lost Girl. She notably portrayed Haylie Wayne on Ghost Whisperer and Cassidy Holland on Being Erica.
