This casting news is guaranteed to make fans of The OC feel old - Autumn Reeser will play Julie Cooper in a musical adaptation of the show.
Reeser played teen Taylor Townsend in the original series, but is now considered old enough to play Marissa's scheming socialite mum in the stage version.
Julie was originally played by Melinda Clarke in the original Fox series, which told the stories of the Cohen, Cooper and Nichol families between 2003 and 2007.
The one-night musical will take place at The Federal Bar in North Hollywood on August 30, and will rework the drama's pilot episode.
Reeser is joined in the musical by The Flash's Rick Cosnett (Sandy Cohen), Jersey Boys star Drew Seeley (Luke Ward) and Step by Step's Christina Lakin (Kirsten Cohen).
It was recently announced that The OC star Adam Brody is expected a baby with Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester.
