During the years from 1981 to 1987 , he worked at the famous role-playing game forge TSR. During his time with TSR he created for standard RPG genre art and thus helped many other artists to break through. Apart from the design and the cover art for role-playing games, he went also into the magical world of Dragonlance. since 1987 Elmore is an independent illustrator and created under his own label since Cover for comics, video games, magazines, fantasy and science fiction novels and much else.

Ein schöner Bildband, den ich vor einiger Zeit bei einer Antiquitäten-Ramsch-Aktion gefunden habe, von einer der Ikonen der Fantasy-Kunst, der aber auch durch seine Arbeit ganze Rollenspielwelten maßgeblich mitgestaltet hat.
