BOYLSTON — Heralded as one of the best winter light displays in Massachusetts, Night Lights at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill attracts more than 50,000 annual visitors from around the region.

This year, the event is back and brighter than ever.

Set to run daily from Nov. 25 through New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, Night Lights transforms many of the botanic garden’s formal garden spaces and its conservatories into a magical winter wonderland illuminated by thousands of lights. Around every corner, artfully crafted displays make this one-of-a-kind event the perfect opportunity for guests of all ages and backgrounds to create lasting memories while celebrating the winter season.

To make Night Lights a unique experience for first-time visitors and returning guests alike, New England Botanic Garden’s horticulture team works hard to incorporate imaginative new features into the displays at each annual event.

“Preparing for Night Lights is a year-round activity at the Garden,” said Director of Horticulture Mark Richardson. “We’re fortunate to have a such a talented team of staff and volunteers. They bring the excitement, creativity, and vision needed to ensure this event is something really special for our guests.”

Highlights of Night Lights 2022 include a rainbow tunnel, a crowd-favorite for photo backdrops, that will extend longer than ever at 100 feet. An outdoor garden train display, bromeliad tree, and firepits for warming up or making s’mores will also help make the Night Lights experience magical. In addition, guests can enjoy snacks and drinks from the Farmer and the Fork Café and find the perfect holiday gifts among the unique items in the Garden Shop.

Night Lights will be on display nightly from 4-10 beginning Friday, Nov. 25 and continuing through Saturday, Dec. 31. The display is not open on Dec. 24 or Dec. 25. During Night Lights, New England Botanic Garden closes for general admission at 3 p.m. Night Lights tickets sell out quickly, so be sure to purchase well in advance. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Oct. 31 and to New England Botanic Garden members on Oct. 17.
