What to expect: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 (and Z Flip FE)

    The Flip5 was unusable when wearing polarised sunglasses. It was a deal breaker for me. I hope they overcome this issue with the flip 6

              2100 is... questionable though. It's better if they go for 8s Gen 3, which is (almost) impossible.

                Galaxy Z Flip6 request list:
                - a telephoto camera
                - a 50 MP main camera
                - a 12 MP selfie camera
                - Dex support(since the battery gets a bump in size and the chipset gets more efficient)
                - A full-cover screen that show various notifications and alerts around camera rings
                - All of the above may seem good enough, making the Z Flip6 to look like a S24 Flip edition
                - Last but not the least, the cover screen and back should be anti-reflective for basic color. It would be nice if they added a mirror variant which has a mirror on the back of the phone.

                    Anonymous, 28 Apr 2024*How can apps you never use cause "your" OS to st... moreThe good lock "launcher" is not great (but better than nothing) : by default you need to open the phone to add apps, there is no search for apps and sometimes couples of apps disappear.

                    Also there is no recent app screen on the flip 5 Flex window. The Motorola razr+ ultra seems to offer a better experience on the cover screen with a real launcher and complete quick settings panel, but I was not able to test it.

                    I hope Samsung improve the software for their Flex window. I don't know what make the UI crash, it usually happens when I connect the Samsung buds to the Flip or maybe it's the bloat.

                    Anyway, I wanted to use the Flip 5 as a very small phone, mainly using the Flex window, but at the end I had to open it and use the main screen to make most of the task (basic exemple : enable and disable the hotspot - no tile on the small screen).

                              About launching regular apps on the cover screen. Just install Good Lock and you can put any app on the cover screen. The reason they're hiding it as an experimental feature is for the obvious reason, apps are not designed to work on a 1:1 aspect ratio display. Most apps tends to become unusable on small screens shaped like that.

                                      but hey, a Dimensity 7200 would be a great compromise, I wonder whether Samsung would use any Mediatek CPU north of 6000 series

                                        With my recent Flip 5 experience, they can make the Flex outer screen larger as they want for the 6.

                                        Hower the OS need alot of improvement, the outer screen's UI resembles that of the smaller Flip 4, lacking an app launcher widget by default, keyboard input sometimes display horrible white full screen input box, the Samsung default keyboard cannot be changed and there is no customization options for quick settings tiles. Also, transitioning from the Flex window to the inner screen disrupts the monet theme and can make some apps UI glitch...

                                        And the Samsung OS is full of bloatware, causing system ui stops and there are too many unnecessary features, leading to a subpar user experience for my use.
