My S7 Edge still works to this day, but the battery is very short and the battery is slightly inflated. I don't use it anymore but it was the coolest phone I ever owned.

hh, 17 Sep 2023still alive s7 edge but got purple line on screen ,set malaysiaDo you think purple line will eventually happen to all S7 Edge? If buy it in 2023 is an option, is better to buy the Flat cuz it does not have that issue?

Mine has green line but battery drains very fast

Had sold it in 2020 but bought refurbished once again in 2023. Just love the way it eases in hand. Ya the battery drains quiet fast but it survives for a day with heavy use of calls, texts, whatsapp messages and emails.

Hi I'm currently on the 1 August 2018 security patch. I'm experiencing the cell standby battery issue. If I would update to the latest version would that bug away go away? I'm wondering if Samsung ever fixed that issue.

While the 15W fast charging was highly useful, the throttling of the power throughput to 6W (of which only what's not used by the phone actually arrive at the battery) while the screen is on made it far less useful than it could have been.
I would rather have had constant 10W charging regardless of whether the screen is on than having 15W charging only while the screen is on and less than a third while the screen is off.
Of the 6 watts that arrive at the phone, only what is not used by the device components actually goes into the battery. Some phones like UleFone do the opposite: all the power needed by the phone while it is being charged is pulled from the charger in addition to the power that goes into the battery. In other words, if the phone needs 4 W while the battery charges at 10 W, at that moment the phone pulls 14 watts from the charger so the battery charging speed is not changed by the usage.
