John Julius Nothdurft (1803-1878), son of Christian Nothdurft and Mary Elizabeth Brakebusch, was born in Grossen Rhuden, Germany.
In 1843 he immigrated to the United States and settled in Missouri. He married Caroline Johanna Kempe (1822-1904) and they became the parents of eight children. Descendants live in Missouri.
