Underwater Photoshoots

I absolutely love the water so I’m happy to say that I’m a Tankspace ambassador.

I am also going to be running my own small group sessions for people that have shown an interest and have never had the experience of doing an underwater photoshoot yet (or they have and they’ve got the bug for it!).

The best things about shooting underwater photography at Tankspace is that you get to keep your feet on dry land and photograph through their glass tank!
The lighting is LED panels for continuous lighting and there are gels to put on them as well if you wish.

Top Tips

Create a mood board

Collect ideas and poses that you think would look good.
Think about reflections, material, props.
This helps to create some unique images.

You can bring your own props to make it a bit different and add your own element into it.

Direct me as much as possible!

I can’t hear or see anything when I’m under the water. It may look crystal clear to you but with the lights I can’t see you! Also after a while everything gets a bit hazy with my vision anyway! So between drops have a chat to me about what worked, adjustments to the pose, am I facing the light, let me know ideas. This way we can work together to create some great shots!
